Green Tea Diet Pill Weight Loss Scam Warning

green teaI don’t know about you guys but i’m seeing green tea diet pills for weight loss being advertised everywhere. So whenever I see something new come out and gain a lot of hype I have to start asking myself questions. “Does it really work?” “Has it been scientifically tested?” “Do I personally know anyone who has experienced results?” or my favorite questions to ask “Is this all just a bunch of bull?”

In the case of green tea diet pills I asked the last question and found out that yes it really is just a bunch of bull. Now green teas is a really healthy drink and I have been drinking it in tea form for a long time now and love it’s bitter yet refreshing taste but…it does not cause you to lose weight! It is not some magical pill that will speed up your metabolizm or stop you from eating.

Latest scientific studies also prove that green tea does not cause weight loss. In Taiwan a study took place that had seventy eight random women who were overweight, the researches divided them into two groups. There was the control group and a group that was given green tea extract which contained 491 milligrams of catechins and 302 milligrams EGCG or epigallocatechingallate.

The main benefits of weight loss are clamied to be from the high levels of EGCG, and in this test the amount was much greated than was has been previously test on. But the results of this 12 week study were pitiful to say the least. There was only a 0.3% bodyweight reduction! This is a tiny, tiny amount and definitely not worth shelling out $50 – $100 a month on green tea extracts and pills if you want to lose weight. The study did show that there were health benefits which were namely: reducing bad cholesterol and increasing good cholesterol.

So if you want the health benefits of green tea then it’s up to you whether to go for it or not but if your looking to lose weight then your going to have to stop living in the fantasy world where magic pills and potions exist. Step off the clouds and come back down to reality and that reality is to lose weight and keep it off your going to have to do two things: exercise and diet. Find the right combination of those two things and you will lose weight easily and keep it off. Simple and boring but damn does it work!
